The USB ports on the PlayStation 3 can be used for a variety of items, including (but not limited to) memory sticks or external disk drives for copying data (music, video, or photos) to or from the system, backing up the system, or saving game data; printers; charging the SIXAXIS wireless controllers; and attaching the external PS2 memory card adapter.
I'm afraid not, unless you have a 1st generation 60gb PlayStation 3, none of the new ones do it or the 80 and 40 GB. The PS3 CECHE model of the 80 GB with 4 USB ports does and so does the 2nd Model with 20 GB and no WiFi
Every PlayStation 2 game is playable on a PS3. No only the early PS3 consoles with 4 USB ports could play PS2 games.
Yes, YDL has access to the usb/bluetooth ports of the PS3 so you shouldnt have any problems
On the older model PS3 with 4 USB ports most PS2 games can be played, but not on PS3 consoles that have only 2 USB ports. The 80GB model that went to Korea in Jul 2007 would probably have 4 USB ports and Models sent in late 2008 and 2009 would probably have 2 USB ports.
Maybe
On the older model PS3 with 4 USB ports most games PS2 can be played, but not on PS3 consoles than have only 2 USB ports.
Then it has 4 USB ports the other models do not play the games and can not be made to
No. The early ones with 4 USB ports did, but any made in the last 3 years have not
Sony PlayStation 3 60gb that's the only one that will get ps2 games working!!!! On the older model PS3 with 4 USB ports most PS2 games can be played, but not on PS3 consoles that have only 2 USB ports.
No if you have a PS3 with 2 USB ports there is nothing you can purchase that will allow you to play PS2 games. Only the early PS3 with 4 USB ports could play PS2 games.
yes because they both run off of usb ports
No, only old PS3 Game consoles with 4 USB ports can play some PS2 game titles.
This Panasonic Toughbook has 3 USB ports.
The USB ports in the front of the PS3 can not be used to connect to the internet. this quote is from the PlayStation related link: "PlayStation 3 is unable to connect to the Internet through the USB port, it must be connected via an Ethernet cord or via Wi-Fi network. You will not be able to use a USB adaptor or a cell phone USB adaptor with the PlayStation 3."
No they do not. The first Playstations 3 models with the 4 USB ports did play some PS2 titles but it was soon discontinued as unworkable and expensive

One reason for the usb port is so you can connect the controllers for games like Rock Band.
