hello. although many doctors say it is 19-21 i believe its a false statement. Why because my brother grew almost 1 foot between the age of 23-26. It all depends on how much stres you put on your self. there is a chance of genes but you can be tall when your gene is short if you exercise properly and take care of your diet. The less weight you have the faster you grow and it all comes from man experience through out my friends and family. So don't listen to doctors and other people that run their words through computer. They made the computer but they are being bossed by it. Its all on your mine. good luck.

Men can continue to grow in height until about age 25. Women stop growing at about the same time they begin developing breasts. That's why girls tower over boys at 12, but boys are usually taller than girls by 16.

It's around the 21-25 range because some stop earlier, some later.I have to admit that I am kind of concern about my final adult height because I am 15 right now and standing at 5'3" - 5'3.5" I just hope I end up at 5'7" - 5'9" by the time I am done growing. If you are worried about your growth, you are not alone.
Men stop growing taller in their late teens to early twenties because their growth plates, which are located at the end of their long bones, close and fuse. Some people say you stop growing after 16 or after 20..but you could still have growth spurts in your mid 20s why not? At 25 years of age, all of the growth plates should have closed, so it is unlikely that one will grow more in height. None of the methods that have been tried, such as stretching, vitamins, and so on, have actually helped make people taller. You can certainly try simple things such as putting thicker insoles in your shoes, but as far as actually getting taller, it most likely won't happen.
