The pride lands, now ruled by Scar, are barren and the lionesses are starving. It takes a visit from the spirit of his father to remind Simba who he is, (the rightful king), and cause him to go back. He then takes on his evil uncle and wins, restoring peace to the pride lands. He marries Nala and the movie ends by showing the presentation of his firstborn child to the animal kingdom.
