To Update your action replay connect your action replay with the cable provided to your computer (your DS and action replay should be switched on) open up your action replay code manager. (Assuming you have alreadydownloaded the software) and click on either the DS icon for a quick update (this refreshes the game list and includes new games) or you can click the other Icon for a software update to see the latest versions of action replay DS...
Once you have clicked on the DS icon, the update should take place :)

If your console is not updating and action replay well you console is toast and i think it was the action replay because my brother's action replay broke and luckily did not break the ds console so i would consider get a new action replay and exchange your ds for a used at gamestop. Hope I helped
