I loved the savoury ones.There were also tomato ones.I remember pea flour and celery salt being in them, but despite all attempts, have not replicated them or their lovely golden colour.It's really sad when something so delicious disappears off the face of the earth!! bring back so many memories.

3 tablespoons plain flour

i tablespoon cornflour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon celery salt

Mix, stir in enough water for batter ,

drop teaspoonful into really hot fat or lard.once it bubbles, turn over, fry second side, drain on cloth or paper towel, serve with bacon, sausages, eggs or whatever.
