The moral lesson in the movie john Q is simply reflecting about our deliberate decisions. First we should investigate what is the act, the intention, and the circumstances in our situation. In the movie, John showed heroic acts despite the obviously bad act he have done in hostaging. Here you can see that he only did the wrong or risks just to save his son but does it justifies the consequences he might get? is he already exempted for the consequences because of his good intention but bad act? NO. He might be a hero for his sacrifices but he also sacrificed and put into risk the life of other people. So, it shows that we should choose the right or moral decision and deliberate it carefully so that we dont get the bad effect of our act. In the other hand of the story, John showed his love and care for his son by sacrificing his self even if he knows what bad effects he might get, but he forget about the laws and the world just to save his son's life. So, truly he is a hero for his son and for other people who was inspired by his acts. :)
