The main similarity of an auto fuel pump and the human heart is: They both require pressure. All pumps require pressure. This also must be a differential of pressure while the pump is working in motion. When both the lung pump and the fuel pump are motion they are in a state of acceleration.

Actually vacuum pumps are also pressure devices. A vacuum is only a region of lower pressure than its surroundings.

It also may be of interest... your sight, hearing feeling, eating, and smelling; all require pressure to function. Photons hit the rod and cone cells with impact pressure to give you sight. Pressure from changing air waves on your ear drum diaphragms allow you to hear. It takes pressure to pick up food, chew on it, swallow it and later... humm. If you can't breath with the muscle pressures making your lungs work... you won't smell the roses. And touch is a pressure sensing mechanism. We would not even exist to live and manufacture the car you mentioned without pressure. And finally without pressure from motion, the Universe wouldn't exist.
