when you turn on your ps2 a screen will pop up that says you to puss x when you push x it will load the game and if not either your connection is bad or your disc is scratched.
It is rotated 90 degrees to the right on the disk trey and every manufactured PS2 I see has it upright.
The American game restriction is not only NTSC for PS2 games and other countries have NTSC games that are not playable in American PS2 consoles
i got my cod 5 disc stuck once and the way i fixed it is put where the disc would come out and shook the ps3 until it finally came out u have to leave the power on and the ps3 on though so u can get it out

Yes- you can play split screen on the PS2, I believe. My friend has the game on PS2, although he rarely uses it. Split screen is lots of fun though, especially on a large screen.
