Pretty much yes.
lol, well the playstation is the playstation 1 now if you mean playstation and playstation 2 then ya kinda but of course the playstation 2 has better graphics and more updated.
Not sure who answered the above.. To be a little more helpful, The PlayStation 1 as we all call it, was actually the PSX. The mini version was called the PS ONE. not pronounced as the number 1. actually pronounced per letter (oh en ee) as far as graphics and gaming go yes they are the same. some differences were made, but commonly can be found in the psx systems as well in later versions.. (I.E. the parallel IO ports for gamesharks and goldfinger devices and such was removed as well as music player screensavers.) The screensavers were brought back in the last models of the psx before they launched the O.N.E
The PlayStation is a word that can be used for any of the Game consoles. PlayStation 1 identifies the game console before the PS2. So it answer to your question the name now has two or more meanings and that is why people started using PS1 for the First PlayStation console.
Ok, well heres the first thing. There are 3 different playstations. PlayStation 1,2,and 3. I have the second one. Nobody sells playstation 1's anymore, playstation 2 & 3 are popular, though. PLaystation is like any other game console, it has games and is pretty fun. The big difference between playstation 2 and playstation 3 is that playstation 3 had internet connection, but the bad side is that it costs about $500. A playstation 2 is pretty much the same as the third but without internet. Currently, PlayStation 2's (or PS2's) are around $100-$180.
The PlayStation which became the PlayStation 1 after the release of the PS2 in 2000
Playstation Plus and Playstation Now are two different things. You can have both at the same time. Though it should be noted that Playstation Now is still in the beta testing phase.
no.
if you asking if you can play playstation 1 games on a playstation 2 the answer is yes.
Yes, the PlayStation and PlayStation 1 are the same thing, PlayStation 1 being a retroactive moniker for the original PlayStation. As such, both use the same medium for games, a black CD-ROM.
R2 and R 3 on the following systems do the following: Playstation 1: R2 is a game control located as the button on the back of the controller and R3 is the analog stick on the right side. R3 is used when you push down the analog stick playstation 2: same as playstation 1 PSP: there is no R2 or R3 Playstation 3: Same as playstation 1
You can not play PlayStation 3 games on a PlayStation 1, but you can play PlayStation 1 games on a PlayStation 3. All of the PlayStation consoles are backwards compatible.
No. Because The Playstation 1 Is Too Old.
No you can not it is not compatible for the playstation 1
you must be dumb PS stand for PlayStation so playstation and PlayStation 2 are the same dumba$$
The playstation one was a miniaturized version of the best selling playstation console. This was done shortly before the introduction of the playstation two in an attempt to create a device capable of being run in the car. The original playstation console has begun to be called the playstation X to distinguish it from its miniaturized, albeit the same, cousin the playstation 1.
Why PlayStation 2 was InventedThe Sony PlayStation 2 was Invented because Sony wants to keep making money and to please the fans of the PlayStation 1. The PS1 was getting out-dated so they made it to keep the ball rolling. The PlayStation 3 is coming as well for the same reasons.
Yes they do. It works the same with PlayStation games on PlayStation 2 consoles.
PlayStation is the same in English and in Italian.
No, you shouldn't need to.
yes, as long as its a playstation 1 memory card you are saving to.
