Is Open International University of Colombo Sri Lanka fake?

Whilst it is not formally recognized by any of the governing bodies (read: governmental approval) for medical establishments which are allowed to grant degrees recognised by the Sri Lankan Government, it is a place of learning, within complimentary medicine. It specialises in Acupuncture.

It must be understood that complimentary medicine, especially ayurveda (the indigenous traditional medicine in India & Sri Lanka) is a highly regulated and controlled field. Therefore if you were to receive a qualification from the OIUCM, this may not be universally recognised.
