In the broadest sense, as it also has Dinosaurs, Pterodactyls and other prehistoric creatures in a remote African Island- called Skull Island in the (Kong) saga. This applies to monster movies as a whole that deal with natural ( such as Godzilla or Kong) and man-made or re-animated monsters like Frankenstein. it is a sort of nebulous fifty-yard line between fantasy and real sci-fi such as space travel, super submarines,, and so on.
