Realistically, you simply have to write one and *boom* you have a Simpsons episode. Now if your asking how can you write one and have it air on TV, well... that's not going to happen unless you are an actual TV writer and you're hired by FOX to write an episode. Also, it's not as though you can write one and submit it to FOX for consideration into making it an episode. FOX would just throw it in the garbage.

The Simpsons is written by following this basic format as a template, The Simpsons opening credits come on followed by a couch gag, if an episode is too short they will run the longest version of the opening credits and the longest couch gag and if an episode runs for too long they show the shortest opening credits, the first act on the Simpsons usually contains scenes with no particular storyline leading up to the opening of a story, this story then further progresses in act 2 and usually reaches a climax then in act 3 the story gets resolved, for example, if homer and marge break up then act 3 would focus on getting them back together. An episode of the Simpsons like a lot of other shows usually contain filler material in the form of an itchy and scratchy cartoon!Note:i(natalie)only fixed some spelling errors and put in some capitals i did NOT write all this!
