What is the name of the Wicked Witch of the West?

If you mean in the broudway musical, her real name was supposed to be Elphaba. If you haven't seen Wicked the musical, I HIGHLY suggest you do!

Is 'Wicked' a good musical?

Wicked is a muscial that started in san francisco in 2003, then later went to Broadway in 2005. It is right now the highest earning and most popular show on Broadway. It has attracted a cult like audience, especially among teenage girls.

What was the wicked witch's name in Wicked?

In Wicked there are really not any wicked witches, just misunderstood girls with magical powers. Elphaba is a college student who was born green and was loved by no one. Because of this, she was considered misunderstood. Being misunderstood and unloved gave her a bitter feeling and she became the Wicked Witch of the West. The Wicked Witch of the East is Elphaba's younger sister who was once paralyzed. Her name is Nessarose. She becomes wicked in an act of selfishness in trying to save her boyfriend from death. None of the typical witches are wicked. The wicked witch of the west is Elphaba is just missunderstood and that's what the whole musical is about. Then there is Nessarose who is Elphaba's sister but she is seen as the wicked witch of the east because she made a selfish descision to keep her love. Then of course there is Glinda, who isn't really Wicked but very selfish sometimes and a little bit self-centered.

What is wicked humor?

Wicked humor is a type of humor that is dark, sarcastic, or twisted in nature. It often involves making jokes or comments that are edgy, provocative, or morally questionable. Wicked humor can be clever and incisive, but it may also be seen as offensive or inappropriate by some audiences.

What are the differences between 'Wicked' as a book and as a musical?

The musical is very basic as opposed to the book. The book goes into greater detail and the glinda and elphaba relationship is only really in the begining and end of the book. The whole middle part of the book is the relationship between elphaba and fiyero. In the book glinda and elphie go to the emerald city then elphie sends glinda home and she stays in the emerald city for years. In the musical elphie goes to shiz with nessa. In the book nessa goes the year after. These are just a few of the differences. There is a large portion of the book where elphie and "liir" go to "kiamo ko" and stays with fiyeros wife and children.... The musical does kinda get the gist of what Gregory mcguire wrote. It outlines the fact that elphaba had a heart and didnt necessarily be the "wicked witch" for her whole life. I would recommend that if you have seen the musical read the book and visa versa. Either way they are both excellent.
