There are lots of countries between Chad and South Africa. You could take several different routes which would bring you through different sets of countries on your journey. Countries you could go through include Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Congo, Angola, Namibia, Botswana and others.
