Only 3 countries have launched a rocket and sent astronauts in to space. The United States, China, and Russia. Many other countries have sent astronauts in to space but they went on rockets belonging to other countries.
If you are referring to space exploration and not military rockets, more than a dozen nations have launched spacecraft into orbit.
India has shot off a total of 75 satellite rockets into space.

Yes, because the space shuttle was NASA's space transportation system. It carried astronauts and cargo to and from Earth orbit. The space shuttle carried as many as seven astronauts at a time to and from space. It launched satellites and served as an orbiting science laboratory.
There were two men in each Gemini module(The constellation Gemini is the twins)
Two. A command pilot (commander) and a pilot (technically a co-pilot -- a term which is taboo among astronauts).
