Now, in some instances, survival in a barren wasteland of a desert is just about impossible, being that it lacks required elements for sustained life. there are many different types of deserts, but to keep it simple, here are main things to remember; stay hydrated, keep cool, stay out of the sun and dont move much during hot hours of the day. avoiding dehydration and heat stroke are number one priority in a hot climate.
if you have the time, take a survival education course. Or at the very least watch survival shows like "SurvivorMan" and "Dual Survival", you can learn a TON from shows such as these.
