First, locate it among trees or brush sometimes near water. When you find your snake, slowly get directly in front of it, and grab behind their head. Then it may release a brown watery liquid that smells like dead fish out of its anus, but it is harmless. When finished, wash hands.

if that is a type of snake, i have not heard of it yet, but it all depends on the type of snake you are trying to catch by the head if that is what you are talking about.
this should only be done with a professional or with someone that knows their snakes.
some snakes are more aggressive than others and even some more aggressive if you come up behind them more than in front of them... but then again all are possible if you simply use a long stick (LONG) (especially if you do not know snakes) and you first trap the snake using the stick. would have to trap it as close to the head as possible and use enough pressure to keep the snake from moving, to little pressure and it can escape and potentially bite you, too much pressure and you could just piss it off! you dont want that cause even the snakes that are not aggressive would bite you if pissed off!
again its best if you are with someone that knows snakes, cause you might not know if its poisonous. to be safe, if it has a more diamond shaped head, looks of bright colors, or has a slant like an eye brow on the top of the eye ball itself, stay away from it, or try to kill it... not pick it up.
best time to see them is when all the tadpoles turn into frogs you will find them munching away on the little frogs by any pond with lots of uncut grass around it
