Well, if u have seen the movie (Tinker Bell) u would kno. See, in the begining of the movie, the narrator says that everytime a baby laffs,a fairy is born.Well, a baby laffs, and the sound waves blow little "petals" of a Danylion (becuz theres a myth that fairies come from danylions.) and the dandylions float all the way to Pixie Hollow, but on the way there, One of the petals hits a BELL. That's how she got the "Bell" part. The tinker part, is becuz her special talent is being a Tinker Fairy, Tinkers fix things. Like, some of the other fairies are flower fairies,so if she had become a Flower Fairy, her name would probably be FlowerBell.

Tinkerbell is a character from the J.M. Barrie play and novel, "Peter and Wendy". She appears in many adaptations of the story, most famously, perhaps, in Walt Disney's 1953 animated feature, "Peter Pan".

"Tinker" is an old-fashioned word for someone who mends pots and pans and other metal utensils. The name was meant to imply that she was a common, working-class fairy. "Bell" refers to the tinkling bell sound that fairy language would sound like to humans.
