The TE80 ATC have two promotional parts of electronic that aids to it being one of the best combi-hammer drill on the market today.
As your question is not very specific, i'll discuss both.
First, you have a service light at the back of the tool to give you and indication that the tool needs a service. It work on the same principal that modern cars today, that has variable service intervals depending on how you drive it.
From the moment the light comes on, you have approximately 8hr of operation left before the safety cut-out kicks in. this is a safety precaution against possible further, more costly, damage to the tool. this can not be reset by the user, and has to be sent it to a Hilti service department.
The second is TPS[Theft Protection System]. This system is deactivated by a security tag when operating. The systems reactivates +-15mins after the tools has been plug out of its power source.
Permanent deactivation of TPS can only be done with the master keycard or by sending the tool in to a Hillti Service department with your proof of purchase for a reset. This also applies to a secondhand buyer of the tool that does not have the master keycard and tag.
Hope it answers your question...
