Yes, but you never actually see Jet die. Long Feng killed him with Earthbending. Since Avatar: The Last Airbender is a Nickelodeon kids' show, the creators couldn't show an onscreen death, but implied that he had died by having Toph say that he was lying after Jet said he was all right.
The death was later confirmed on the DVD commentary for "The Ember Island Players."
No he didnt. Unfortunatly Jet does die. Depsite some rumors that Jet made it out, he did not. When Toph told Sokka that he was lying when Jet stated he would be alright, she was implying that he was going to die. She knew this from his heart beat and rythm. As it is a child's show, I am sure that is why they ended the episode the way they did. So that the younger children watching would not think anything of it, and if anyone older who was watching wanted to know they could look it up. According to the offical wiki for The Last Airbender on Jet it clearly states that Jet died there.

Yes, he does. In the Avatar the Last Airbender with extras, there is a pop up that acknowledges this and says for the record, that Jet died.
Katara does not die in the show Avatar the Last Airbender or The Legend of Korra.
When the Legend of Korra starts, you see that Korra proved to be the Avatar. Of course, in order for there to be a new avatar, the old avatar must die. So the second Korra was born, Aang died.
No! Why in the four nations would Katara die? She does not die at any point in the story line.
Well, you see, people learned waterbending from the moon and the tides of the sea. Earthbenders learned from badger-moles, which appear in the series, in Book Two: Earth. Firebenders learned from dragons, like Iroh, Aang, and Zuko. Airbenders learned from the air bison (also known as wind buffalo) like Appa. Assuming Appa is not the last air bison, the next Avatar will have to study airbending from Appa or another air bison (even though Appa is the last air bison, who knows?) Also, rumour has it that airbenders did not die out and that they learned to 'become' wind. So they may well return. But that is just a rumour... There have been many theories as to what would happen after Aang is gone. At the end of the series Aang learned how to bend the 'energy' inside people. And like Iroh who learned a technique by studying waterbenders, I'm pretty sure that Aang can still teach airbending. And if at all possible, bend their energy to create a new generation of airbenders. I don't think we've seen the last of them. Aang can write a scroll and the next Avatar can learn from it. And if his kids are airbenders, he can teach them, who can then have airbender kids of their own and teach them. And so on. Here's my theory: In the end, we all saw that Aang kissed Katara. There's a high probability that Aang will marry Katara and have airbender kids, since its rare for Southern Water Tribe to have waterbender. Aang's kids will learn how to bend air and the Cycle continues. Aang's kids will get married, get children, and pass on the airbending skill. The future airbenders nomads will repopulate and teach the Avatar airbending. Right, well, the above is true, but no-one said that the next Avatar could come from JUST the Southern Water Tribe. Since the Avatar Cycle goes air, water, earth, fire that means the next Avatar will be born within one of the Water Tribes. It may be Aang's child, who knows? One way or another, I don't think on any level that he is the last ever airbender. We have not seen the last of them, so let's just leave it there, shall we?
No he leaves though
Nope :)
If you are referring to Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender, he isn't dead.
He didn't have to die but that's just the way they wrote it.
He's not the last Avatar, he's the last airbender. He is the last airbender. The Avatar's soul is reincarnated into the next bender in the cycle, so if he were to die, the Avatar would be reborn into the next cycle. As the cycle is air, water, earth, fire, he would be reborn into one of the water tribes. However, as Avatar Roku tells Aang in the Avatar State, the first episode of the second season, "If the Avatar is killed while he is in the Avatar State the cycle will be broken, and the Avatar will cease to exist." As Aang is killed in the Avatar State in "The Crossroads of Destiny," the Avatar Cycle has likely been broken. Indeed, Aang reveals in the third season that he can no longer travel to the Avatar State, which indicates that he is not only the last airbender, but possibly the last Avatar as well. But then he does manage to go into the Avatar State in the finale and everything is happy. Yay.
They all die... The only person in the legend of Korra that's from the original series is katara but she's like 85
We haven't received an exact answer from Avatar: The Last Airbender. It was meant to be ambiguous with simply the banishment, but since then the writers have decided to create a specific answer and it will be revealed in Avater: The Last Airbender The Search Part 3 - a graphic novel whose part 3 will be released October 30, 2012.
No , when the war ends, she is seen in Ba Sing Se, living a peaceful life. The story ends with Aang and Katara sharing a kiss.
After being brainwashed, Long Feng tries to get him to attack Aang. Jet turns on Long Feng, and is fatally wounded by him.
The Nickelodeon show The Legend of Kora is the sequel to the show Avatar: The Last Airbender. In the show Kora does not die. The finaly episode that has been aired Kora is still alive. There was suppose to be another season but so far that season has not aired.
nope she doesn't die, you can be sure of that
Katara does not die in the show Avatar the Last Airbender or The Legend of Korra.
If you are speaking about Avatar:The Second Nature. Jet as in the guy who was supposed to marry Neytiri, it is not certain he died, I'm kind of hoping he comes back in second movie.
