In season eight the 'Treehouse of Horror VII' was aired and one of the tails was of Bart and his twin brother Hugo.
Hugo and Bart were conjoined twins but the one of the left was pure evil. So they kept Hugo in the attic his whole life because they thought he was the pure evil twin, it is then revealed that Bart is the pure evil twin so Bart is kept in the attic and Hugo lives with the family.
However, these episodes aren't really considered canon, Hugo is never mentioned again and Bart lives with the family again in the next episode.
