Yes, vampires do get drunk in the Vampire Diaries. If you see Damon at the bar in the show and his eyes lazy and looking around then yes he's drunk.
In both the TV show and book series, but it always seems to be Damon getting drunk. The only thing is Elena gets drunk, I think, in the episode where Damon takes her to Georgia.

∙ 6y agoYes, they do. Stefan was shown sleeping in his bed with Elena before Damon woke them up in 'Children of the Damned' and Lexi was asleep on Stefan's bed before Damon woke her up in '162 Candles'.
Katherine was also seen sleeping in the tomb before Damon woke her up with the bottle of blood in 'The Dinner Party."
