At the very end of the movie when the surviving members of the Dirty Dozen are in the hospital, General Worden and General Denton congratulate the men and leave. One of the final shots in the movie is an over-head shot of the hospital room showing Major Reisman and Joseph Wladislaw recovering in bed and Sergeant Bowren standing on crutches. This must be Posey, as he was never killed and someone who wasn't a part of the mission would not be in the recovery room with the men from the secret mission listening to the generals congratulations.
The movie doesn't show them leaving France, crossing German lines to the D-Day beach head, getting medical treatment for their wounds in France or picking up Posey at the Machine Gun position.
