He had several which became themes in some of his movies. Hitchcock's fear of heights (altophobia) was obvious in his film Vertigo. He also had a fear of eggs (ovophobia). Hitch had a life-long fear of police (politiaphobia). This fear is played out in his movie Psycho when the character Marion (played by Janet Leigh) is questioned and then followed by a suspicious police officer. This went along with his fear of being falsely accused of a crime which was the theme of his movie Frenzy.
