Hia, You have to write to the complaints department within Social Services. If, like me you don't get direct answers, just a few paragraphs of lies then there is a '2nd Stage of complaint' or you feel you haven't been listened to, the Complaints Officer will arrange for your complaint to be looked into by an Investigating Officer.

The Complaints Officer will also arrange for the Investigating Officer to be joined by an Independent Person, a person who has nothing to do with the Council. They will keep an eye on your complaint and make sure it is looked into fairly. If you're still not happy then you can write to the Omsbudman with your complaint. The Omsbudman likes loads of proof, so keep all letters, ther ones you receive and the ones you send and also keep a writing pad by the phone and when they phone you, get the persons name and the date and time and write down breifly what was said. If that fails then you can go for a judicial review, but you do need a solicitor for this, and you may find one at the Law Society website or Family Rights Group, these also are on the net. Good luck with it, let us know how you got on. Cheekipxi xxx
