Nope. Not many games have a built-in language changing option. Also, if the text isn't pre-translated and input (Which could take a while) then it's not there to be switched. If a game does have that option, it will usually be found under an "options" or something like that. As of yet, the only language-changing feature for a Pokemon game is the now-multi-ligual Pokedex. (Which is active from the start of the game; you don't have to unlock it.)

It's only NATURAL it would be purely Japanese... THAT'S WHERE POKEMON COMES FROM: Japan.

Besides, if you want it in English... THEN BUY IT IN ENGLISH! It WILL be imported. So why buy a Japanese one and expect it to be in English? They've never done it before. If anything, the English imports should have an option to change it BACK to Japanese.

i had this problem u might just have to look for options in Japanese righting and try to find languages it is really hard but you have to try on every game coz GBA don't hve settings like the ds

Nope, if you buy the Japanese games of HeartGold or SoulSilver then they'll be in Japanese and there is no way to legally change it to any other language.
