Can my playstation 3 slim cech 2501a Blu-ray drive work on a different cech 2501a motherboard. do i have to remarry it or is it just plug and play?

To the best of my knowledge these blu ray drives on the czech-2501a systems are plug and play as long as you have just four ribbon cables to connect.... however some systems have a chip board on the bottom of them..in which case that is the blu ray control board and its married to your ps3 mother board. However its still an easy fix as you just swap the Control Board from your original blu ray to the new blu ray drive and it should solve your issue.
