No donkeys and horses cannot regurgitate. Their throats only move one way, when they are chocking they cannot bring up the food so they will choke to death if they do not receive any help. If you see a horse or donkey chocking, call the vet and work your hand downwards on the throat, this will help the food to go down, keep doing this until the vet comes, and keep them from lying down.
