The Bible is divided into two main parts. The Old Testament , which tells of the Jewish history, and the old prophets all who lived before the birth of christ. The New Testament is about the birth of christ , his life and teaching, and also after hid death and what the apostles did.

Do christians follow the Old Testament or the New Testament?

Mainly christians use both the books , but mainly the new testament as it has more on Jesus.

Do Christians use the New Testament?

Yes Christians use the New Testament a great deal.

Why do Christians care about Hebrew scripture?

Because the vast majority of Christians believe that the Hebrew scriptures are just as valid as the new testament scriptures. While parts of the old testament scriptures have been overridden by Jesus's death on the cross and the transformation of living under the law to now living under grace, most Christians still believe that the old testament is still part of God's word. In fact, much of the new testament relates back to the old testament, the book of Hebrews in particular. Many Christians look to the old testament to find prophesies fulfilled in the life of Christ especially in the book of Isiah.

The original new testament writings were called Hebrew scriptures true or false?

False. The Hebrew Scriptures form what Christians know as the Old Testament.

Do Christians accept the Old and New Testaments as holy books?

Yes they do. ADDITION: Yes Christians believe both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Abraham of the Old Testament is the Christian's spiritual father, not like God our Father, but we are connected to Abraham spiritually (Romans 4:1; 4:12, James 2:21-23). The Old Testament is our example for many things. Also Christians do not follow the Law of Moses when it comes to ceremonial laws, rites, sacrifices, holidays or abstaining from certain foods, but we do follow God's laws and they are backed up by Jesus in the New Testament.
