11
are you sure? I thought he had 12? Or I might be including Benjamin or Joseph himself... Lol i looked this up because I'm doing a newspaper article about Joseph's journey in the book of Genesis.
Love for his brothers, kindness and faith. Faith in God when he was in prison and forgivness because he forgave his brothers for treating him unfairly. This of course relates to the Old Testament Joseph. The New Testament Joseph was a just man as is mentioned in Matthew 1:19. He also wanted not to shame Mary but to 'put her away privately.' So he was evidently kind, but also wanted to do what was right, which explains why he married Mary after he received God's assurance on the matter. He also obeyed God and went down to Egypt. Joseph had an effective and simple plan which averted a food crisis in his country
Joseph was 17 years old when he was feeding his father's flock with his brothers, (Genesis37.2), and he was 30 years old when he became 'second in command' (Genesis 41.46); so one could say that he suffered for about 13 years.
Genesis 37:3 "Now Israel [Jacob] loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colors." This chapter tells of the jealousy of Joseph's brothers, how they faked his death, and brought the "coat of many colors" back to their father, after ripping it and putting a goat's blood on it, to appear as if Joseph had been killed by a wild animal.
Joseph's brothers hated him.
if he was the 4th child then he must have brothers
Joseph did not like it...but he forgave them for selling him into slavery.
The brothers sold Joseph to traders in Egypt, but the brothers smeared blood on the coloured coat and said a wild animal killed Joseph.
They still call him Joseph
3 brothers
The names of the Montgolfier brothers are Joseph and Etienne.
Joseph was sold by his elder brothers, as they did not like him, as he was his fathers pet, and the dreams Joseph had angered them all the more.
they sold him
Joseph dreamt that his brothers would bow down to him. Even though he was the youngest of them.
(Genesis ch.37) Why did Joseph recount his dreams, if doing so might displease his brothers Why did Jacob show special attention to Joseph, plus give him the colored tunic Why did the brothers show displeasure with Joseph Why did Joseph have dreams which seem to point to overmuch pride Why did Jacob send Joseph to meet his brothers, knowing that they were displeased with him Why did the brothers seek to harm Joseph Why did Reuben and Judah mitigate the threat that Joseph was put in Why was Joseph sold into captivity (Now if you'll post each of the above questions separately, we'll provide answers)
Joseph's brothers were jealous when Jacob gave Joseph a coat of many colors as a gift, as it symbolized favoritism towards him.
