Where in the Bible do you find the verse 'Act as if you have faith and faith will be given'?

Galatians 3:22

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

The line what you said may come from a different translation, the verse above comes direct from the King James Version.

While this is a popular concept in some circles, it is not found in The Bible.

The Bible does say that faith comes from God (Ephesians 2:8).

I must admit you got me stumped. My search produced no answer.

But, if I may ask, does mere acting and not really having faith have merits in God's eye?

Here Paul describes where faith comes from and how God has given it to believers.

Romans 10:17

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

Romans 12:3

Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

Ephesians 2:8

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-

This is not in the Bible, but could be a valuable message for evangelists. Acting as if you have faith before you do have it requires suspension of rational thinking.
