Two that would be of most importance to the apostles would have been the authority to ordain others to the ministry. Second, that when He had returned to his father in heaven he would have given them the gift of the Holy Spirit to testify to them the truth of all that it would instruct them in. if you read Jonh 13:21 and on, you will see that the loved diciple was at Jesus shoulder, the Peter was closer to him. He gave the wet bread to Judas as a signal that he was the one to turn him in. this means he was further away in the table. Jesus had to get up to give the bread to him.
