Two that would be of most importance to the apostles would have been the authority to ordain others to the ministry. Second, that when He had returned to his father in heaven he would have given them the gift of the Holy Spirit to testify to them the truth of all that it would instruct them in. Up until that time they had no need of the Spirit as a permanent companion for Christ was there to instruct them. The Holy Spirit did however testify to each of them that Jesus was the Christ before His death.
