The prayer offered by the Lord was to be a guide only on how to pray. You will notice that the Lord address His father in Heaven and gives praize to Him. He says we are to thank Him for all He has done for us. We then ask Him for whatever blessing we would like Him to give us. We then close in the name of Jesus Christ. Set prayers should not be used as is done in some churches, but prayers offered from the heart.
The lords prayer learn you how to pray, it honor him, tell who he is, giving us what we need and asking for forgiviness
This is Jesus' way of instructing people how to pray. Prayer does not have to be long and drawn out, but short and simple. Since God is supposed to be omnipotent and omnipresent, He already knows the details of one's prayer requests.
The Lords prayer can be found in Luke 11:1-4 & Matthew 6:9-13.

The Lord's Prayer is found at Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus gave this prayer as a pattern or model for how our prayers should be. "Our father in the heavens" is Jehovah God, because he created us and gave us life. "Let your name be sanctified", means that God's name Jehovah, should be honored and treated as Holy or sacred. (Psalm 83:18; Isaiah 6:3) "Let your kingdom come" is God's heavenly government with Jesus as its King. (Daniel 2:44) “Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth” Just as there is no evil or death in heaven, God’s will for the earth is that humans live forever on it in peace and security. (Psalm 37:11, 29) “Give us today our bread for this day” In Jesus’ time, bread was a staple food. We should remember that we depend on our Creator to provide the things we need in order to live. “Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors” If we want to receive God’s forgiveness, we must be willing to forgive others. “Do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the wicked one” we are tempted by “the wicked one,” Satan the Devil—who is also called “the Tempter.” (1 John 5:19; Matthew 4:1-4) We ask that Jehovah not permit us to give in when we are tempted to disobey him. This year, on April 2, 2026, millions around the world will commemorate the death of Jesus Christ. In accordance with Jesus words at Luke 22:19, “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures)
