Fortelling the future in a vague sort of way.
In The Bible it doesn't always mean seeing the future, actually in the bible it is meaning to teach of some sort. in the bible it said people started to prophesy and speak in tongues.....they did not see into the future of any sort cause if they did what did everyone (there was a lot who prophesied) see then into the further? Remember Paul said they bring comfort and exhortation to those who listen, seeing the future might scare someone......who listens....so it is not seeing the future my friend.
Well Prophesying is having a divine inspiration like reading the bible. But there is a difference of preaching and prophesying, a little difference i see but to me it seems close the same thing.
i agree, prophesying is not seeing the future it is teaching the word or speaking the word of God of some sort. And yes preaching and prophesying are different i think, they might be the same.
