Habakkuk 2:2 "And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it."

Although we can learn from all the scriptures, the ones we can immediately read and live are those specific to our day. Jesus' words applicable to our day encourage us to live with the reality of the power of the Holy Spirit in evidence.

Acts 1:6-8 "When they therefore were come together... he said unto them... ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Scriptures written since the day of Pentecost transform us, and we instantly 'run' with them because they communicate our reality. The seven church epistles, Romans through Thessalonians, are God's communication to the body of Christ in the age of Grace. The book of Acts is also our blueprint, providing an example of believers living with the power of the Holy Spirit during this age.

I Thessalonians 1:5,8 "For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance... For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad..."

While reading and delighting in all the scriptures, we are most readily transformed by the Word that applies to our day. We experience the reality of the Holy Spirit in evidence and inspire others to do the same.

Was the Septuagint just the first 5 books of the Bible?

AnswerNo. The first five books of the Bible are called the Pentateuch. The Septuagint ('LXX') was an early Greek translation of all the Hebrew scriptures. It certainly began with the translation of the Pentateuch, as these were regarded as the five most important scriptures, but the project continued until all the scriptures were available to the Jews of the diaspora, who could not read the scriptures in Hebrew.

Why was it important for people to read the bible in their own language?

To get better understanding. Yes your native language is the one you understand the best. The bible has a lot of big words that might be hard for someone who doesn't have English (for example) as their first language.

How many books are there in the pentecostal bible?

Real pentacostals will read the KJV Bible and that Bible has 66 books total. 39 (Old Testament) 27(New Testament). I'm not saying that other translations are fake, but they change a few words and the KJV is direct. In order to understand the KJV you have to have the Holy Ghost. (ACTS 2:38)
