Sharon is a plain, extending from the Crocodile River to Joppa and was noted for its fertile lands ( Isa 35:2). It was well-watered from several streams, and flocks and herds grazed there. (1Chronicles 27:29; Isa 65:10.) Oak forests once occupied the northern part of Sharon, while the south was more extensively cultivated.
