There are 14 books considered apocryphal in the King James Version of the Bible. These books are not included in the Protestant canon but are included in the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox canons.
The Bible is the holy book of Christianity. Some other holy books are the Book of Mormon, the Jewish Talmud, and the Islamic Quran.

There are 66 books as usual, but there are also 9 other books which are called Apocryphal or Deuterocanonical books. These books are recognized by the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox & Oriental Orthodox Churches as being part of scripture, but most Protestants do not recognize them. Many other Christians recognize them as good, but not on the level of the other books of the Bible. Anglicanism, as stated in the Thirty-nine articles, consider the apocrypha to be "read for example of life" but not used "to establish any doctrine." Luther made a parallel statement in calling them: "not considered equal to the Holy Scriptures, but are useful and good to read."
There are 39 books in the Protestant Old Testament. There are a few additional books in the Catholic Old Testament (e.g., Tobit, Wisdom, Sirach, etc.) and the Eastern Orthodox Old Testament (e.g., 1 Esdras). The additional books are often called the Biblical apocrypha. These books are present in a few historic Protestant versions such as the German Luther Bible as did the English 1611 King James Version.
