This is a very long answer. But for the sake of brevity I offer the following:
Space defies total understanding by today's astrophysicists and astronomers. As a result new discoveries about its characteristics are constantly emerging. Many defy logic.
Most people believe space is empty. But it certainly isn't. It is filled with gases, exotic particles and the hard to believe fact that it is creating mater (mostly photons) out of nothing. These photons appear and then disappear. Where they come from and where they go is a mystery.
Defying Einstein unlike mater, space can expand faster than the speed of light. It is filled with energy much of which is not be understood. This is known as "dark energy." This energy is actually pushing apart the galaxies and expanding space at an accelerating rate.
Space also contains "dark" matter which has yet to be seen or identified by science. Though it has been indirectly inferred and mapped.
One cannot describe space without discussing time as they are both interdependent and bound together. Space is actually bent by gravity.
If there aliens in outer space, it is possible that some races have arachnid characteristics, such as spiders and scorpions.

The characteristics of the space hubble is that it makes use of the telescope.
No, it's built from scratch. It shares some characteristics with aeroplanes though.

Elements that have some characteristics of a metal and some characteristics of a nonmetal are called semimetals or metalloids.

Some of Seattle human and physical characteristics are the Space Needle, Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, Metro Transit Tunnel. Physical characteristics are Lake Washington, Snoqualmie Falls, Elliot Bay, Puget Sound, Lake Washington Ship Canal, or Lake Union. There are many more but those are some.
