[It may, but I wouldn't recommend it. Salt water from the ocean can be very helpful to wounds, but just straight salt water may hurt them and I'm sure it can't be plesant. So I would use water from the oceans and bays because that has a good salt to water ratio. Hope this helps.]

Wow, classic ignorance; sea water is never safer than just regular salt water due to the simple fact that the sea is full of bacteria that can infect any open wounds. Bays are even worse than open oceans because water doesn't circulate as much, leaving more harmful deposits. A 'salt to water ratio' is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, considering the sea's salt content varies, especially around fresh water river mouths. Besides, dogs are extremely tolerant of pain. Salt water on their wounds is not going to hurt them. Take the pink dress off of Sparky and let him lick his wounds and he'll be fine.
