Yes. Otters live in and around water. They're aquatic and they are found in both fresh and salt water. About a dozen different species inhabit the planet. A link can be found below for more information.
Some crabs live in salt marshes, such as the horseshoe crab. Another animal is the juvenile fish. A salt marsh is connected to another body of water, like an ocean. River otters may live in salt marshes as well.
It's because they need salt water in oceans, but there are river dolphins that need river water.

Sea otters have adapted to live in marine environments, where they rely on the saltwater for their survival. Their bodies have evolved to handle the specific conditions found in the ocean. Freshwater lacks the necessary nutrients and salinity levels that sea otters require for their health and well-being.
No it would die immediately as they are salt water creatures.
River otters have much longer tails and a longer head than the sea otter. Sea otters have have large webbed hind flippers. When at the surface, river otters tend to swim on their bellies. Sea otters float on their back. River otters would be more likely to climb on a log or onshore to eat. Sea otters tend to eat their food in the water while floating on their backs, with the food on their stomach. River otters are on land frequently. Sea otters almost never leave the water. River otters tend to be all brown. Adult sea otters' heads lighten throughout their lifetime, becoming quite blond. In addition to the above, Sea Otters often gather in large numbers called "rafts" while river otters are more solitary and are usually only seen in groups of 4 or less (mom and pups). River otters can be found in streams, rivers and coastal salt water areas. for me its yes!.we didn't put any salt to make it salty when we cooked it, and when i taste it, its kind of salty because oysters live under the water (sea or river). In river it taste also salty because of the tide. The tide is a salty water so it goes inside of the shell of oyster.
