They are native to India and southeast Asia, which can get very hot. But peafowl are hardy and can take cold weather, too. They don't like snow and ice, but they can take it. Their feathers provide excellent insulation. You should NOT try to raise them outdoors in winter as far north as Alaska, however.

Yes, in moderation. Peacocks are native to Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and the Himalayas. They live in forests and venture out into semi-open contryside, where they can find cover and forage in the dense, thorny undergrowth. The need to have shelter from excessive sunlight and also require a ready supply of water.

Yes, with shelter and food they survive nicely in cold climates such as upper Great Lakes area where temps can drop well below freezing for weeks.
