What is the credibility of pseudo-scientific techniques in guidance?

credibility of pseudo-scientific techniques? I also wanted to say about credibility of Pseudoscience which it is consists of statements, beliefs, or practices that claim to be both scientific and factual but are incompatible with the scientific method. We knew that Pseudoscience is often characterized by contradictory, exaggerated or unfalsifiable claims; reliance on confirmation bias rather than rigorous attempts at refutation; lack of openness to evaluation by other experts; absence of systematic practices when developing hypotheses; and continued adherence long after the pseudoscientific hypotheses have been experimentally discredited

What is selection and what are pseudo-scientific methods of selection?

Selection is the process of choosing individuals with certain characteristics or traits for a specific purpose or role. Pseudo-scientific methods of selection are techniques that lack empirical evidence or scientific validity, such as astrology, phrenology, or graphology, which claim to predict abilities or outcomes based on irrelevant factors. These methods are not supported by scientific research and are considered unreliable for making accurate selections.

No. Pseudo-Science is a belief that's often has no facts to support it's truth. A good example of this is religion. Why, the very word pseudo means fake or false. Biology is hard facts, however, not just guesswork.Something can reasonably be called pseudoscientific if it meets the following criteria:1) It is presented as consistent with the accepted norms of scientific research, but2) fails to meet these norms - most importantly - in use of the scientific method.

Are pseudo-scientific techniques credible?

There seems to be an underlying assumption in this question. Wikipeda defines "pseudo-scientific" as: "Pseudoscience is a claim, belief, or practice which is presented as scientific, but does not adhere to a valid scientific method, lacks supporting evidence or plausibility, cannot be reliably tested, or otherwise lacks scientific status. Pseudoscience is often characterized by the use of vague, exaggerated or unprovable claims, an over-reliance on confirmation rather than rigorous attempts at refutation, a lack of openness to evaluation by other experts, and a general absence of systematic processes to rationally develop theories." The real question here may relate to Parapsychology research and its status as a science. Parapsychology is the scientific study of psi phenomena and abilities including Extra Sensory Perception and Psychokinesis as well as Exceptional Experiences such as Out-of-Body and Near-Death Experiences. The methods, protocols, experimental designs and analytical techniques used in Parapsychology fully conform to scientici method. Parapsychology is therefore not a pseudoscience. It is a mistake to presume that Parapsychology includes things such as UFO, Big Foot or other anomalous beleifs and assertions. Parapsychology also has nothing whatsoever to do with "ghost hunting".
