Warsaw Pact
No, not a member
The US was part of NATO, the Soviets were WARSAW PACT.
In response to NATO, The Soviet Union eventually went on to form what was known as the Warsaw Pact. This was an agreement within Soviet Countries that if someone were to attack one of them within the Pact, it would be considered an attack on ALL of them.
Only communist nations in Europe were part of the pact, as would it's counterpart NATO. Example: North Korea, Communist China, nor North Vietnam were part of the Warsaw Pact. The mission of WP was to battle against NATO, if and when that time ever happened.
Yugoslavia & Albania, neither were Warsaw Pact signatories.
Technically, they would've been nonaligned, though many of these "nonaligned" countries actually were aligned; they just weren't formally part of NATO or the Warsaw Pact. "Third World" came about as a term for countries which were not members of the two major military alliances (NATO and the Warsaw Pact).

They were generally nonaligned (at least in principle), rather than being part of NATO, SEATO, or the Warsaw Pact.
