she went to war in her father's place because he was wounded in another war and she thought he would die so she took matters into her own hands and joined the war disguised as a man and defeated the huns. women were not allowed to disguise as men and join the army and if they were disovered they would be killed. she failed with the matchmaker so that is another reason why she went to war for her father. she was discovered as a women but was not killed because she saved all of China and fought in the war for 12 years.there are many movies and musicals including "mulan jr." which is a musical i am in. i am not 100% sure everything i wrote is true but i am pretty sure i am close :)
