Firstly, Arabs are not all loud; this is a stereotype. However, Arabs are, on average, louder and more expressive than Western Europeans and White Americans, so this is worth discussing.

One of the primary reasons for this is the natural linguistic inflections that Arabic has and the sounds of the Arabic language. As a baseline, Arabic sounds aggressive to an English speaker in the same way that as a baseline, French sound pretentious to an English speaker. This does not mean that the actual words spoken in Arabic are any more aggressive than those spoken in English, that is just the way it sounds to the English-speakers ear. I remember one time that I was taking with a shopkeeper in Arabic and an American friend jokingly asked me if we were "declaring jihad". I laughed and told him that we were merely discussing how sunny it was.

Arabs also have a cultural tendency to be more open about their feelings, especially anger and resentment than is common in Western society. The Western tendency is to bottle anger because it is viewed as more civilized to be cool and calm. The thought process follows that a resolution can be more easily created if everyone "keeps their heads on straight". In Arab culture, there is a view that discussing exactly what bothers you leads to a much larger initial fight, but can lead to a much larger overarching solution as opposed to smaller makeshift compromises. If no solution comes of the argument, then whatever relationship or friendship was never meant to be.
