General Edward Braddock, and General James Wolfe were commanders for England. The Marquis de Montcalm, was the General for France.

NOTE: The men listed below were in the French and Indian war. However, were any of them Generals who fought in the war? For this is what the question concerns. Also, I happen to know that George Washington was 21 years old at the time, and held the rank of Major - not General.

Other French commanders were:

Maquis de Vaudreuil (Commander-in-Chief, New France)

Baron Dieskau (Genaral)

Chevalier de Levis (General)

Other British commanders were:

Jeffrey Amherst (General,Commander-in-Chief)

William Shirley (Major-General)

Lord Loudon (Commaner-in-Chief)

James Abercrombie (General, Commander-in-Chief following Amherst's departure)

Edward Boscawen (Vice-Admiral = equivalent to Lieutent-General)

George Washington (future President of the United States of America)

Washington was actually a Lieutenant Colonel in the newly created Virginia Militia when the French and Indian War broke out in 1754, making him 22 at the time

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

In 1753, George Washington, was commissioned as a Major and put in charge of training militia in southern Virginia. George Washington would be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, in 1754. However, the promotion would not be given until George Washington was at the age of 22. His birthday is on February 22, but, the war was in play in January, of 1754.
