An era is defined as a significant period of time. In this case, it was Queen Victoria's rule of Britain and it's Empire. The era began in 1839 when Victoria suceeded her uncle William IV aged 18. It ended in 1901 with her death at Osbourne House on the Isle of Wight. She was suceeded by her son Edward VIII and the Edwardian era began.

Richard, however wanted to be King and declared Edward and his brother illegitimate and declared himself King. Afterwards he sent the two Princes to the Tower and they were never seen again. It is believed that the Princes were smothered to death. In the 1600s, a box was found with the bones of two small children which are believed to be the Princes.
