Stephen Rosenberg, he was a Austrian who was a member of the X-Troop's a group of Europeans, mostly of Jewish descent, who opposed the Nazis and worked for the British. He was the member of the X-Troop's chosen to be sent to France and intentionally get captured, in order to mislead the Nazis into thinking that the attack on D-Day would come from Calais not Normandy. There is a book about this called Code Name Nimrod by James Leasor.
