Mostly the people if the governor or who ever is in charge is letting the people of their city tell them wat to do. Thas just my opinion
The governor of Nevada has a four year term. He may not serve more than two terms.

No US president was governor of more than one state .
Running for state senate is not as important as running for governor, because the governor is head of the state however running for the federal senate is a more important position than being governor.

The U.S. President has more power than the Texas governor. A governor affects only his own state, the President is in charge of all 50.
The short answer is a president runs an entire country, where a governor just runs one state. Thus, a president may sign legislation that affects the states, and has far more authority than a governor does.

The governor is more important than the mayor because the governor has authorities over the state while the mayor has authorities over the city.
