Winston Churchill served twice as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

He first became Prime Minister in 1940, replacing Neville Chamberlain.

During his second term as Prime Minister, which began in 1951, he replaced Clement Attlee.

Churchill wasn't replaced.

He was brought into office for the duration of the war because he was a Military man, at the end of the war his time in office was up and the public elected a new Prime Minister.

He was re-elected in 1951 until the next election in 1955 and wasn't re-elected.
